明代广西人口数量考证

A Textual Data Analysis of the Population Size of Guangxi in the Ming Dynasty

通过对官方统计的广西布政使司所辖的民籍人口数进行了细致的考证 ,和对未纳入统计范围的军籍人口数和大量少数民族人口数的尽可能推测 ,估算出明代万历 6年今广西境内的人口至少已达到了 4 0 0万人。

This paper not only makes a textual analysis of the population size registered by Guangxi local government in the Ming Dynasty, but also calculates the population in the army and the population of ethnic minorities, and then comes to the conclusion that the population size in the present region of Guangxi had reached over 4 million by the late Ming Dynasty.
