周瑜性格的再评价:“小气”还是“大器”

The Reevaluation of Zhou Yu: Narrowness or Generosity

周瑜是罗贯中在《三国演义》中塑造的一个成功的艺术形象,又是三国时期实有其人的吴国重要辅臣。罗贯中出于拥刘的写作宗旨,在其笔下的周瑜身上,虽显露出许多才气、勇气,但更多的是"小气"。因此,在谈周瑜才气、勇气的同时,必须透过小说中周瑜"小气"的现象去考证其源由,以还周瑜的本来面目———大器。

Zhou Yu is a successful artistic character created by Luo Guanzhong in The Stories of Three Kingdoms and also a real important assistant minister during that period. Because of having a preference for Liu, Luo Guanzhong described Zhou Yu as a person with narrowness more than talent and courage. So, when we are talking about Zhou Yu's talent and courage, we must examine its source through the phenomena to revert Zhou Yu's real appearance-generosity.
