The automatic derailleur has the higher advantages that the mechanical derailleur can't match with. The now derailleur malfunction diagnosis and maintaining methods existe in our national enterprises have many disadvantages. These questions will be discussed in a higher level in this paper, and a new viewpoint about automatic derailleur maintaining method will be put forward.
