棉花品种南北异地种植经济性状的相关和配合力反应

STUDY ON CORRELATION BETWEEN ECONOMIC CHARACTERS AND THEIR COMBINING ABILITIES IN UPLAND COTTON VARIETIES GROWN IN THE SOUTH AND THE NORTH OF CHINA

本研究采用7×7双列分析,研究了陆地棉(Gossypium hirsutum L.)同样一套材料,在广东三亚秋播和河南遂平春播条件下有关经济性状的相关和配合力反应。单株成铃、铃重、生育期,早熟性、衣分、纤维强度、细度、断裂长度在两地间相关较高。对这些性状,在三亚评价与选择的效果可部分地带到遂平,特别是铃重,此在遂平的直接选择还要好。配合力分析发现所研究性状在两地均以基因加性效应为主,并且各亲本一般配合力在两地间相关较高,说明对这些性状异地早代选择有效。

A seven-parent diaUel crosses,excluding reciprocals,were studied for correlation be- tween some economic characters and combining ability responses of Upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) grown in autumn m the south (Sanya,Guangdong)and in spr- ing in the north (Suiping,Henan) of China,There exist high correlation coefficients be- tween the two locations for bolls/plant,boll weight,growing stage,earliness,lint per- centage,fiber strength,and fimeness.For these characters,selection and evalnation in Saaya were parrtially simiar as in Suiping.Selection in Sanya showed that the expected correlative genetic advances were greater than that of direct selection in Suiping for boll weight but less for other characters.Combining ability analysis showed that additive effect took a main role at both locations for all the characters studied,and the GCA correlation coefficients of these characters at the two locations were all positive.The result,implied that seiection at one location for another and in early generations would be effective.
