The word euthanasia originated from the Greek language: eu means 'good' and thanatos means 'death'. The meaning of euthanasia is 'the intentional termination of life by another at the explicit request of the person who dies. For years now, many people have debated whether the existence of 'Euthanasia' to alleviate the suffering of an individual by ending their life is morally permissible. In this essay, the writer discussed the moral and ethical problems caused by 'Euthanasia' based on the Humanitarian and Confucianism aspects. Firstly, he defined the term 'Euthanasia' in details and then he revealed all the relevant humanitarian issues. Finally, based on the Confucianism teaching and belief, he thinks 'Euthanasia' is not an immoral thing.
