摘要
Internal clastic debris, occurring as thin layers or zones, is widespread in the Triassic strata in Sichuan province, Southwestern China. It's formation is attributed to the disturbance and abrasion of preexisting sediments or, to a minor extent, sedimentary rocks by the agency of running water. Internal elastic debris thus reflects the sedimentary environments, and may be taken as an indicator of sedimentary facies. It can also be a possible reservoir for oil and gas.
