Mossbauer spectra have been obtained for whole-rock samples, some of the principalore minerals such as pyroxene, olivine, troilite and Fe-Ni alloys (kamacite and taenite)as well as for the fusion crust of the Kirin meteorite shower. Mossbauer spectra ofterrestrial olivine and pyrrhotite have also been measured for comparative purpose.Based on these measurements discussions are given to the percent content of nickelatom in kamacite and taenite, the perfectness of crystal lattice of troilite and, as isevidenced by the spectra of silicate minerals, the extent to which equilibrium andmetamorphism have reached in the Kirin meteorite.
