摘要
Microwave complex dielectric constants are measured with the cavity perturbation method for natural bitumen of various degree of metamorphism as well as for bitumen samples subjected to thermal metamorphism under laboratory conditions. The results show a positive correlation between the microwave complex dielectric constant and the degree of metamorphism and that the magnitude of variation in this parameter is greaterthan those of H/C, Rmax, free radical concentration, d002, value, back peak temperature in organic DTA and dencity. The microwave complex dielectric constant can be used as an indicator in distinguishing between areas of oil and gas generation. For the former ε'<5, ε″<0.070, and for oil prolysis gas area ε'=5-15, ε″=0.07-0.30.
