摘要 Dealt with in this paper are some geochemical characteristics of mineralization of porphyry copper deposits, especially those observed in intrusive bodies, wa11 rocks, alteration zones, ores and individual pyrites. Productive intrusions have been correlated with barre nones from such aspects as major and trace elements, copper contents of biotite and pyrite, and distribution pattern of copper. In the mineralized rocks, trace elements show apparent zoning surrounding ore bodies; major and trace dements seem to show some reguIarity of variation in the process of alteration, and as a result each alteration zone displays its own peculiar element combination. Trace dements in ores can provide information on the genesis of ore deposits, thus of great help in distinguishing ore types while those in pyrites may be indicative of mineralization, provide dues for distinguishing orebearing from barren rocks, and reflect the degree of erosion of ore bodies.
