β-链蛋白在进展期胃癌转移淋巴结内再表达的临床意义

Clinical significance of β-catenin's re-expression in metastatic lymph nodes in advanced gastric cancer

目的 探讨 β 链蛋白 ( β catenin)在进展期胃癌转移淋巴结内癌细胞的再表达情况及其临床意义。方法 用免疫组织化学染色的方法检测并比较 β catenin在 96例进展期胃癌原发灶组织与其79例转移淋巴结内癌细胞的表达情况 ,并结合临床病理资料与随访结果进行综合分析。结果 79例转移淋巴结中 ,2 3例 ( 2 9%)出现了癌细胞 β catenin的再表达 ,再表达阳性组的 5年生存率是 9%,阴性组是2 0 %,二者差异非常显著 ( P <0 .0 1)。结论 β catenin在进展期胃癌转移淋巴结内癌细胞的再表达是存在的 ,并对癌细胞在转移灶的聚集生长起着重要作用 ;

Objective To investigate the re expression of β catenin in cancer cells of metastatic lymph nodes in advanced gastric cancer,and to evaluate its clinical significance.Methods Immunohistochemical expressions of β catenin were observed in 96 primary advanced gastric cancers and 79 metastatic lymph nodes. The expressional levels of β catenin were compared between primary tumors and metastatic lymph nodes,and whose correlations with clinical pathological characteristics and survival time of patients were analyzed.Results Among 79 metastatic lymph nodes,increased expressions of β catenin in metastatic cancer cells, as compared with their primary tumors,were found in 23 cases (29%).The overall 5 year survival rate of 23 patients who had metastatic lymph nodes with re expression of β catenin (9%) was significantly poorer than that of 56 patients who had metastatic lymph nodes without re expression of β catenin (20%,P<0.01).Conclusion There is re expression of β catenin in cancer cells of metastatic lymph nodes in advanced gastric cancer, which plays an important role in the accumulation and growth of cancer cells in metastatic focus.To compare the expression levels of β catenin in the primary tumors and metastatic lymph nodes immediately after surgery may provide new prognostic parameter for patients with advanced gastric cancer.
