U.S.-Russia strategic Contention in Central Asia and Its Prospect

"9.11"事件后,美国借反恐之际进军中亚,从政治、经济、军事等方面加紧对该地区的渗透,以达到控制中亚并最终将其纳入西方体系的目的.对此,俄一方面表示有节制的反对,一方面采取切实措施,遏制美在中亚地区不断扩大的影响.从长远看,美俄对中亚地区战略利益和能源利益的争夺将是长期的.

Since Sept. 11 events, taking advantage of the anti-terrorism war, the U.S. has intensified its infiltration towards Central Asia in political, economic and military areas, so as to achieve its aim of putting Central Asia under its contral and finally integrating Central Asia into Western system.To counter U.S. increasing influence on Central Asia,Russia expressed restrained opposition to U.S.infiltration on one hand , and took proper measures against it on the other hand. The contention betwern the U.S and Russia over strategic and energy interests will look like a protracted one.
