摘要 After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Francis Fuknyama disseminates a “good news” that the Western liberal democratic system has already become the best choice of human politics and will be the system of all the human kind. In this article, the author clarifies Jacques Derrida’s train of thought in his refutation to Francis Fuknyama in The Specters of Marx in following aspects. First, Derrida cites numerous facts to illustrate that Fuknyama’s “good news” is built on a dubious and paradoxical basis. Based on this, Derrida then argues further how Fuknyama falls back on “ideal good news” after he is disillusioned with “ ‘de fasto’ good news”. Derrida immediately discloses that the idea embodied in Fuknyama’s Western liberal democratic system he takes as the most advanced one in human history is adopted stealthily from Hegel’s viewpoint. The author holds that although Derrida’s refutation to Fuknyama’s “good news” is on the deconstructivism stand and there are quite a lot of farfetched elements in it, it is still to some extent sharp and deep.
