Dealing with the Challenges from Self-study Education in the 21st Century

自学考试是具有中国特色的、规模最大的高等教育形式,在国际上也是新生事物。进入21世纪以来,伴随着中国高等教育的大发展,自学考试遇到了新挑战。阐述了自学考试近年来面临的生源下降、参考人员结构变化等严峻问题,分析了自学考试在20多年的发展中形成的五大优势,提出了解决问题的六大对策。

Self-study education is a large scale higher education with Chinese characteristic and a emergent novelty in the world. With the rapid development of higher education in China, self-study education faces new challenges in the 21st century, such as, the number of students declining, the change in the structure of test takers. This paper analyzes five advantages formed during the development of past 20 years and proposes six countermeasures to solve these problems.
