The research on pyrolysis in solid refuse disposal is introduced systematically. According to the situation of producing solid refuse in our country, the essentiality of pyrolysis is advocated through compared with other methods. Several methods of pyrolysis are introduced in detail. With comparison of advantages and disadvantages of each method, the processability which method is applied in present stage is clarified. Therefore, the question of the second pollution in traditional solid refuse disposal is solved.
