《大学英语精读》教程适用于我国高校非英语专业的英语教学已有十几年的历史。1997年修订后的新版本侧重于改善对词汇的处理和改进练习两个方面。作为精读教学的媒介,这本教材直接影响到全国大多数非英语专业的英语教学效果。本文将结合原版本,评析修订版的合理性及不足之处。

It has been over ten years since Intensive Reading of College English was adopted as the textbook for non -English majors in many universities in China.Having been revised in1997,the new edition focuses on the improvement of the organization of vocabulary and the content of the exercises.As a medium,it will have a direct impact on the English teaching for non -English majors in China.This paper analyses the merits and deficiency of the new edition by comparing with the old one.
