摘要
艾略特是21世纪初意象派诗歌的重要代表人物之一。所谓“意象”即指“作者的主观情意与客观物境相融合而形成的艺术境界”。客观事物虽是客观存在的物体，但能引起诗人刨作欲望或寄托诗人情思。所以，这种客观存在的事物称为“意象”。“意象”的选择与诗人的创作倾向关系甚密。本文旨在通过对组成艾略特诗歌意象群的客观事物进行统计和分析，以期探讨艾略特诗歌的风格特点。
T.S.Eliot is a leading representative of English Imagism at the beginning of 20 th movement. Imagery, as an artistic device, combines the authors subjective moods and certain existing objects. Those objective correlatives in T.S.Eliots poems are carefully chosen and closely connected to the poets intention. This paper is to trace and outline Eliots poetic impulse and characteristics through statistics and analysis of his imagery.
