摘要
世界上任何一种语言都必须通过不同的途径使其得以丰富和发展。其途径之一就是借用外来词。英语如此，汉语亦如此。本文重点讨论了汉语借用英语词汇的语言现象及这一语言现象的理据和语用价值。
Borrowing words from other languages in a common way to enliven and enrich Chinese as well as English and any other language in the world. This paper chiefly deals with the theoretical grounds and the pragmatic values of English loan words in Chinese.
