New Research on Caojin and His Epitaph

曹谨是我国历史上一位杰出的地方官吏。他廉政爱民,尤其对保护和开发台湾做出重要贡献。文章从探究《曹公墓志》的角度出发,对其外交、廉政及官宦生涯进行介绍,为研究清史,尤其是鸦片战争及台湾地方史提供了宝贵的第一手资料。

Caojin was a prominent magistrate in the history of our country. He had a strong sense of honest government and made great achievements on the protection and development of Taiwan. This dissertation explores his diplomatic policy, honest government and official life from the aspect of'The Epitaph of Mr.Cao', which provides precious materials for studying the history of Qing Dynasty, especially the Opium War and Taiwan history.
