回顾学术界关于江南古镇研究的现状,阐述了古镇的文化意义把六大古镇作为集群研究对象的原因是它们不仅共同申报了世界自然和文化遗产名录,而且它们处在历史上文化最发达的三府之中,还具有集群的性质。

A revier of the status quo in academia concerning the study of ancient towns in jiangnan,setting forth the cultural importance of the ancient towns,exploring the reasons for talking the six most important ancient town as the cluster study object as being thatthey not only applied for world Cultural and Natural Heritage listing together but also that they are located amidst the three culturally-most-develoved prefectures in hisory,and that bear the characteristic of cluster.
