探讨了传统育种和现代育种在花卉育种进程中的特点、成就以及相互之间的关系。传统育种是花卉育种工作的基础,现代育种是传统育种的补充。现代育种不能取代传统育种。未来的花卉育种将是传统育种与现代育种相互补充、有机结合的结晶。

The characteristics and achievement are taken into consideration on the traditional breeding and the modern breeding,and also their relations during the ornamental breeding.The traditional breeding is the base of the ornamental one.The modern breeding is the supplement on the traditional one.The later can not be completely replaced by the former.The ornamental breeding in the future will be the result of mutual complement and effective combinations by the traditional breeding and the modern breeding.
