Network teaching based on the WEB method is a main development mode in distance education. It provides a series of assistance functions for network course teaching, among which on-line answer is an important part. The building of on-line answer system solves the difficult problem of exchanges between student and teacher who can not meet person-to-person. This text discusses the automatic answer system's function and the method for realization and gives the actual solution.
