转注是在转注原语的基础上加注意符的一种造字方式;转注字就是在转注原语的基础上加注意符而成的文字。唐释慧琳《一切经音义》中的转注字疲、橐、蛭、麝、牵、揜、图、(?)、翕、罅和称进一步对此做出了有力的证明。

Zhuanzhu is a method of creating a new character. That is to add a sign of meaning(意符) on the basis of the original sign of Zhuanzhu(转注原语). which expresses the meaning of the character. Zhuanzhu-Zi is a character created with this method. The character of Pi(疲) ,Tuo(橐) ,Zhi(蛭) ,She(麝) ,Qian(牵), Yan(揜), Tu(圖), Hui((?)),Xi(翕),Xia(罅) and Ni(祢) is marked Zhuanzhu-Zi in the Tang Monk Hui Lin's the Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka. They prove this view further and reasonably.
