《说文解字》的形训理论

On the Xing Xun(形训) Theory in Shuowen J iezi(说文解字)

《说文解字》一书是有自觉而深刻的理论作为基础的。尽管这些理论受到历来学者的重视，但是他们的看法至少有这么两个问题：(1)这些理论只是文字学的；(2)六书说只是一个平面上的。本文着重从三个方面阐发许书的形训理论，从而证明这些理论是关于训诂的，而其中的六书说是从不同平面就形义关系所作的理论表述。

Shuowen Jiezi(说文解字) is a book base d on the conscio us and profound theories. Although scholars through the ages have paid much atte ntion to these theories, there are at least two problems in their opinions. The first, these theories are only on the study of characters. The second, the theor y of the six categories is only on the same plane. This paper elucidates the the ory on Xing Xun(形训) especially from three sides in order to pr ove that the theory in Shuowen Jiezi(说文解字) is mainly on crit ical interpretation of ancient texts, and the theory of the six categories is a theoretical exposition of the relations between characters'form and meaning fro m different planes.
