高级外交外事翻译培养模式

A Model for Training Advaned Translators & Interpreters for Diplomatic Purposes

作为外交部直属院校 ,外交学院多年来在培养高级外交外事翻译方面形成了自己独特的培养模式。该模式将高级外交外事翻译要求的三个方面 ,政治素质高、语言功底扎实和知识面广博有机地贯穿于培养模式的两个阶段 ,取得了良好的效果。实践证明 ,这一培养模式是有效的。在此基础上为了迎接新的挑战 ,我院将与外交部翻译室合作进行教学单位与一线单位共同培养高级外交外事翻译的新尝试。

Over years of teaching practice,Foreign Affairs College affiliated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has developed an effectiv model for training advanced translators/interpreters for diplomatic purposes.The 3 major requirements for translators/interpreters for diplomatic purposes,i.e.high political qualities,a solid foundation of language proficiency,and extensive knowledge are emphasized and set as training objectives in the model,which consists of two closely related phases:the basic phase and the advanced phase.Each of them includes three parts__core courses,supplementary courses as well as practice.The core courses and supplementary ones are well integrated to facilitate the realization of the ultimate goal of the model.The model has been proved effective,and several young excellent interpreters/transltors working with the Ministry of Foreign Affaics.have received training at this college.To further advance the model and to meet new challenges,Foreign Affairs College is going to cooperate with the Department of Translation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in training translators interpreters for diplomatic purposes.
