美国经济自去年下半年以来明显减速，受其影响，欧盟经济也已放慢步伐；日本经济长期低迷，迄未看到复苏迹象；世界经济的三驾马车同时陷入困境。对美、日市场过分依赖的东亚国家，经济受到全方位的影响，复苏进程受阻。出口导向型为主的经济结构、企业改组不力和金融坏账是对东亚经济前景看淡的主要内部因素。中国经济发展较好，为中国加强同东亚其他国家的经济联系提供了良好的历史机遇。

Since the late half of the last year U.S. economy has been obviously slowing down, and affected by it the economy of the EU has also slowed down. The Japan's economy has stagnated for quite long, and so far no sign of its recovery can be seen. The three horses of the world economy have been cornered simultaneously. The economy of the East Asian countries, which are too dependent on American and Japanese market, has been affected in all aspects, and the process of the economic resurgence has suffered obstruction. The export oriented economic structure, ineffective enterprise restructuring, and financially bad debts are the main internal factors for the bleak prospects of East Asian economy. China's economy develops fairly well, providing a good historical opportunity for China to strengthen its economic relations with other East Asian countries.
