摘要
《高等学校英语专业英语教学大纲》根据21世纪的时代特点和对人才的需求，提出了复合型人才的培养，阐明了21世纪英语人才的规格，设计了培养新世纪人才所需要的课程。21世纪所需要的是语言基本功扎实、知识面宽、思路开阔、有一定相关专业知识、社会适应能力强的复合型人才。大纲把英语专业课程分为英语专业技能课、英语专业知识课和相关专业知识课三大板块，对英语专业学生的知识结构作了明确而合理的规定。
The Syllabus for English Major has raised the issue of cultivating talents with mixed abilities, specified the qualifications for workers of English language and designed required courses which fall into three categories: English skills, English knowledge and knowledge of related specialities. The new millennium calls for talents with mixed abilities who have a solid foundation of English, a wide range of knowledge, broad horizons and knowledge of related specialities.
