The article discusses at length Parts III, IV, V and VI of the newly formulated Syllabus for English Majors in China. These parts concern teaching requirements, principles, methods and mediums, and evaluation and testing. It attaches great importance to orientating towards students while we are innovating teaching methods and working out any other reforms in the implementation of the program. It also lays great stress on the significance of raising students cultural quality and developing their creative abilities.
