On Faithfalness of Translation

本文时传统的翻译标准“信、达、雅”做了新的诠释，赋予“信”以新的内涵。说明为使译文读者对所传信息的反应与原文读者一致，翻译应以话语为单位、应该重视语境和两种语言的文化参照系。

The Traditional translation standanrds of faithfulness, fluency and elegance were re-interpreted in this article, and especially the standard of faithfulness was given a new connotation. It reinforced the theory of translation that in order to stimulate similar responses among the readers of the translated texts as among those of the original, the text should be considered as the vasic translation unit, while both the cultural frame of reference of either language and the context should be paid attention to.
