The present article is concerned with the necessity of translators' subject role in literary translation. It is held here that different translators,as reception subjects, naturally cognize and savor a text object from their own perception, gain different information from it,make different aesthetic judgment and then concretize its indeterminate parts.Such concretization inevitably carries subjectivity. In translation,it unavoidably leads to different versions.
