论城市社区文化的功能与发展

On the Functions and Development of Urban Community Culture

80年代中期以来 ,我国城市社区的发展受到社会各界的重视 ,对社区文化的理论研究也逐步展开。但却出现了就社区谈社区 ,甚至把社区文化和群众文化相混淆的状况 ,因此 ,必须从社区文化的四个主要功能 ,即它的社会价值调适、整合功能 ,社会文化继承、积累和融和功能 ,丰富人们社会生活功能和实现人的自我价值的功能方面进行廓清。这些功能不仅推动了社区的精神文明和物质文明建设 ,带来社区秩序的安定 ,最终又使人的素质得到全面提高。促进社区文化的健康发展 ,关键是政府的作为、全社会各行各业的共建和群众的参与 。

In the middle of 1980s, the development of urban communities in China enjoyed emphasis from different circles in the society at which time the theoretic inquires in community culture also developed. However, there appeared situations of talking about community for community's sake and even a confusion of the concepts of community culture and mass culture. So clarification must be carried out in terms of the four major functions of community culture, i.e. the functions of adjustment and integration of social values, the inheritance, accumulation and merging of social culture, the enrichment of social life, and the realization of the self-value of man. These functions not only promoted the construction of spiritual and material civilizations of the community but also brought stability and unity to the community order, which again promoted the overall increase of the quality of man. To promote the healthy development of community culture, the key consists in the co-existence of actions of the government, a joint effort from all walks of life in the society, and the participation of the masses.
