噶玛噶举派在康区的长期经营和木氏土司崛起后向康南地区的扩张 ,使双方建立长期密切关系成为历史发展的必然。随着新兴教派的出现和形势的变化 ,这一关系也呈现出三个大的阶段性变化 ,其变化的实质是基于利益之上的相互利用与相互依赖关系。
