同为浪漫主义诗人 ,二人各有千秋、同具魅力 :性格矛盾复杂的拜伦将热情做为创作的源泉 ,以辛辣的嘲讽为基调 ;笔下既有孤独高傲的“拜伦式英雄”,又有为人类而斗的“民主斗士”;性格热情单纯的雪莱把想象视为诗歌创作的至上 ,以真情的赞颂为主旨 ;笔下的形象也多是充满信心、追求自由的乐观主义者。拜伦的诗大气、恢宏 ,引人入胜 ;而雪莱的诗细腻、严谨 。
Romantic poets Byron and Shelley have differences as well as similarities . With a contradictory and complex personality, Byron regards passion as the source of creation; with sarcasm as his keynote, he creates not only proud and aloof Byronic heroes but also champions for democracy. And Shelley, whose character is enthusiastic and simple, holds imagination the highest in poetry, and enthusiastic praise is his gist; the images he creates are mostly confident optimists in pursuit of liberty. Byron's poems are natural, magnificent and charming, while Shelley's poems are delicate, well knit and imaginative.
