Strategic alliance is an innovation of modern enterprise organization system, as well as a new organization to realize low cost with differentiated competitive advantages. The development of the strategic alliance affects the development of virtual enterprises. The author makes an analysis of the connotation, nature of the strategic alliance and the virtual enterprises which developed from it. In addition, the paper studies how to reconsider the traditional theory of scale economy.
