摘要
在孟菲斯的设计思想中 ,一方面具有反对等级制度的政治宣言和存在主义思想内涵 ;另一方面充满多元文化互渗和反对任何固有观念的形成。在语言形态上 ,即有古典遗风 ,又有大众艳俗 ,既有反理性成分的波普主义 ,边缘艺术以至原始主义的效应 ,又会发现理性成分的几何风格 ,以及形态的不确定性与模糊性 ,互相矛盾的语言 ,“风马牛不相及”的材料配置 ,貌似“不和谐” ,一切彻底打破了现代主义设计中的那种“和谐”、“纯粹”的观念和正统的“好设计”原则 ,实现着他们改造旧文明的理想。
According to the design idea of Memphis, there are, on the one hand, political manifesto of anti hierarchy and connotation of existentialism, and on the other hand the blending of multi cultures and the formation of anti fixed views. In the form of language, there are classical relics as well as popular raffishness; there are popularizations of anti rationalism, marginal arts and effect of barbarism as well as national and geometrical style, and the indeterminacy and vagueness of forms, the contradictory language, and the totally unrelated materials, which look disharmonious. All these completely have broken the ideas of “harmony” and “pureness” and principles of the traditional “good designing” in modernist designing, and are realizing the ideal of transforming the past civilization.
