摘要
提出了一种基于SNMP协议的弱移动网络管理机制,使用移动管理组件执行分布式网络元素的网络监视和计算任务。管理可以根据监视应用的需要,将主动监视组件动态地发放到代理,通过SNMP协议操作管理数据,并在本地计算AV(抽象变量)的值,然后将值“推”向管理应用。此外,还可以使监视组件具有一定的智能,只有在AV超过了预先设定的阈值时,才向管理应用“推”送其值。这样,原本完全或大部分由网管站承担的管理计算任务分布到网络各个节点,不需要轮询,提高了监视的反应速度。理论分析和实验结果都表明,该机制不仅可以减轻网络管理站的计算负载,减少网络管理对带宽的要求,而且还可以提高被管设备的独立性和智能性。
A novel weak mobile management policy based on SNMP protocol is presen ted to perform monitoring of distributed network nodes. According to the propose d method, a management workstation application may deliver some active monitorin g components to relative agents dynamically. The components do maintain informat ion by means of SNMP operators, compute abstract variables locally and then push these data back to the application. Furthermore, the components could be extend ed more intelligently through setting thresholds of abstract variables to decide whether it will push the data or not. Since various computing tasks are distrib uted to different agents, polling of each node isn’t needed any more. Theory an alysis and experiments demonstrate that through this mechanism the network manag ement can operate more cost-effectively.
