Sula is a milestone in Toni Morrison′s fictional writings.The female characters in this novel are most noteworthy in that their life experiences imply Morrison′s conscientious exploration of Black women′s fate alienated by racism and sexism.Taking into account the narrative strategies of the novel,we can see that Sula has laid a sound basis for Morrision′s artistic style.Therefore,the study of the novel will contribute to a better understanding of Morrison′s literary creation and her narrative modes.
