The thesis is aimed at the cultural revival in Shanghai and founded on human-based ideas. It is seen from the angle of entirety, with the systems analysis introduced into, and gradually establishes an overall open and multi-levelled framework that covers from knowledge to methods, from analysis to design, from subjectivity to objectivity, from district to furnishings.
