Textual Research into the Edible History of Chinese Globefish

摘要 The history of eating globefish for Chinese people may trace to the time of early Qing Dynasty. Since then, in the following more than 2000 years the general mood of having the liking for eating globefish has been constantly flourishing in Jianghuai, Jiangnan and some other areas along the coast. During this time Chinese people experienced not only the happy enjoyment of delicious globefish taste, but also the unfortunate death threat resulted from taking globefish poison. Meanwhile, lots of experiences on eating globefish and detoxifying its poison have also been stored up. These experiences are really worthy to be taken as references for the people of modern time.
