On the Japanese Diplomacy of Coordination With the U.S. During Taisho Period-With a Focus on Takashi Hara

原敬的对美协调外交思想产生于日本效仿和追随欧美列强向大陆进行殖民利益扩张的时代,第一次世界大战前后充分展开,其目的在于日本能够"顺畅合理"地攫取到最大的国家利益。原敬组阁后,始终以日美协调为其外交政策的基轴,对日本的外交政策进行了调整和转换。原敬的外交思想对后世产生了很大影响。

Takashi Hara advanced the diplomacy of coordination with the U.S. for Japan around WWI, when Japan sought to follow the United States and the European powers in pursuit of expansion of its colonial interests on the Asian continent. Thus Japan could secure the greatest national interests possible. When Takashi Hara came into power, he adjusted the Japanese foreign policy toward coordination with the U.S., which has since greatly influenced the Japanese diplomacy.
