There are three different editions of experimental Chinese textbooks for junior middle schools of compulsory education. These editions are published by the People's Education Press, Jiangsu Education Press and Chinese Education Press. They have retained many elements for education success, compared and selected the good experiences from foreign mother-tongue textbooks, changed the educational ideas, and made every effort to break through the traditional model of textbook compiling.The features of People's Education Press edition are that chapters divided by different living topics, each structure is developed, each chapter contains a set of main points so that fulfilling the needs of students. The Jiangsu Education Press edition bases its structure on the Topic-by-Chapter and each chapter brings more operations for students, this edition also provides the Suggestion-Reading Chapter and the Question Chapter. It is a new design for textbook compiling. The Chinese Education Press edition bases on new structure and new content arrangement. It rebuilt the system of the Chinese language practical abilities by different levels.
