From Compliments to Discuss Cultural Diffrence inDaily Communication Between Chinese and America

在中美跨文化交际中,恭维语是使用最为普遍的语言行为之一,但是这些恭维或赞美用语却具有语用上的差异。从差异中可以看出,中国人的恭维体现在"卑己尊人"上,而美国人则"尊人"不"卑己"。语言是文化的载体,我们的外语教学要使学生获得一种跨文化意识进行跨文化交际。

During the intercultural communication between Chinese and America,compliment is one of the used frequently language actions,but this kind of compliment has differences in language utilization in the two different cultures.From the differences,we can see that Chinese compliments reflect 'cringe himself to respect others' while American compliments suggest to 'respect others' but not to 'cringe himself'.Language is the culture's carrier,our foreign language's teaching is to let students get a kind of intercultural awareness to communicate with foreigners.
