论鉴真对日本天台宗、密宗兴起的影响

Monk Jianzhen's influence on Tiantaiand Esoteric Buddhism Communion in Japan

东渡日本的唐代高僧鉴真大师,为建立、完善日本授戒制度,开创日本律宗做出的贡献,早已得到了中外学者的一致肯定。但是,鉴真对日本天台宗和密宗的兴起做出的奠基性贡献,学术界至今探讨得还很不够。文章在肯定鉴真开创日本律宗的基础上,着重分析讨论了鉴真对日本天台宗和密宗兴起所做的贡献及其背后的原因。同时还提出了鉴真既是律宗高僧,又是天台宗大德的新观点。

It is generally accepted by the Chinese and Foreign scholars that Monk Jianzhen, the famous Buddhist who had sailed east to Japan,contributed to establishing and perfecting the tonsure system and introducing Esoteric communion in Japan. The academic study of his contribution to the rise of both Tiantai and Esoteric communion is not sufficient. This paper affirms his contribution while discussing what contribution he had made and why he had done so, and presenting a new viewpoint that Jianzhen was a great Buddhist of both Tiantai communion and Lvzong communion.
