Error Correction Strategies in Spoken English

文章结合我国英语教学实际探讨了纠错在英语口语教学中的重要作用 ,是保持口语流利和准确的重要环节。首先从语言学和心理学的角度阐述了口语学习中的不同的错误类型 ,然后介绍了一些纠错的错误做法 ,并且阐述了纠错对培养口语流利度和准确度所产生的影响 ,最后提出了一些口语纠错的策略。

Both fluency and accuracy are indispensable requirements of good spoken English. In order to achieve the balance between fluency and accuracy in spoken English, we should attach great importance to the attitudes towards errors in oral English. This paper analyses the different types of errors in spoken language and the causes of these mistakes from linguistic and psychological perspectives. It also presents some of the misconceptions towards error correction. Finally it proposes some strategies of error correction, which is supposed to help reach a better balance between fluency and accuracy.
