摘要
《新周刊》、《城市画报》、《三联生活周刊》等是近年来涌现的一批新锐杂志。通过大众文化的视角通过对它们进行透视,可以总结出新锐杂志的两个内在矛盾:游戏精神和消费主义。游戏精神的核心是自由,体现在新锐杂志中的是一种个性化的自我张扬,它是非功利的;而作为大众传媒的杂志又无可避免地成为消费文化的传播者,消费主义体现的是对人们欲望的刺激与满足,因而又是功利的、颠覆自由与个性的。
City Pictorial, New Weekly, Life Week are new-sharp magazines that have come into being in China in recent years. This article tries to view them through popular culture in order to summarize two inherent conflicts: game-spirit and consumerism. The core of game-spirit is 'freedom' that shows in new-sharp magazines the advancement of individuality and self-affirmation, which is non-utilitarian. But as a mass media, magazines have inevitably become the disseminators of Consumer Culture. And consumerism shows the stimulation and satisfaction, so they are utilitarian and non-free and non- individual, too.
