On Specialty Construction in Local Institutions of Higher Education in the Process of Popularization of Higher Education

专业建设是大多地方高校的薄弱环节,高教大众化又对地方高校专业建设提出了新要求。地方高校专业建设必须为地方经济社会发展、学科建设和素质教育服务,必须从加强师资队伍建设、改善办学条件、提高教学管理等方面着手,努力创出自己的特色。

Specialty construction is a weak link in most local colleges. The popularization of higher education makes new demands on the specialty construction in local colleges. Local colleges must serve the needs of local economic and social development, of discipline construction and of quality education. They must create their own characteristics by starting from improving the faculty, instruction conditions, and the management of instruction. 
