Research on the Teaching Efficiency of College English

我国的大学英语教学投入多 ,效率低已为世人所知。如何改变现状使大学英语教学走上健康发展的轨道 ,这是摆在政府教育权利部门和广大外语工作者面前的一项艰巨任务。作者回顾了我国大学英语教学的历史 ,分析了问题存在的原因 ,提出了解决的办法。特别指出了在我国进行了十多年的全国大学英语四、六级统一考试干扰、影响了正常的英语教学 。

It's well known that in China too many energies have been spent on college English teaching, but its returns are small. How to change the situation in order for it to develop well is an arduous task that the education department and all foreign language educators have to face. The authors put forward some solution after reviewing the history of college English teaching in China and analysing the causes of its problems, especially pointing out that the general examinations of Band 4 and Band 6 have affected and interfered with the normal English teaching, and it must be corrected.
