试述辽代之医学教育

On Medical Education in Liao Dynasty

从辽代统治者掠夺式学习医学、翻译汉族医书作为教科书、医学教育重在自学和私人传授、重视医学交流提高医学水平 4个方面阐述了辽朝医学教育的主要成就。

This paper deals with the main achievements in the medical education in the Liao Dynasty in the following four aspects: the predatory study of medicine by the ruling class, the translation of the medical books from the Han nationality as the textbooks, the emphasis laid on self-study and the private teaching of medicine and the communication of medical knowledge. All this played an important role in promoting the popularization of medical knowledge and skills in backward areas in the north.
