数据仓库管理员DWA在数据仓库设计、运行过程中承担着重要的角色 ,系统性能的好坏与否、稳定与否都跟DWA有着直接的联系。本文综合论述了DWA在DW创建及运行期间的职责和所承担的任务 ,从数据仓库的转储与恢复、安全性及完整性、性能的监督和分析、重组和重构以及系统审计等多方面详细讨论了DWA的工作要点。

Data warehouse administrator(DWA) play important rule in DW design and work. The performance and stability of a DW system are associated with the quality of DWAs. This paper discusses completely the responsibility of a DWA in establishing and running of a DW,and essential duty as renewing and restoring, security and integrity, performance supervision and analysis ,system re-organization and re-construction, system audit.
