摘要
明中期,随着社会经济的繁荣发展,吴中地区形成了士人纵情山水、奢靡游乐,注重感官享受,崇尚古典适意的多样世风。受其影响,吴中文人的诗文创作随之出现了注重性情文学的变化,文风变之为清新自然、爽朗明快和追求高古典雅、温柔敦厚。而这种多样性世风所形成的多种创作主张和文风,一方面客观上促进了吴中文学的繁荣发展,另一方面又导致了创作成员不能集中力量创制鲜明的地域特色作品,抑制了吴中诗文创作新局面的进一步开拓。
With the prosperity of social economy in the Mid Ming Dynasty, educated people and officials in Central Wu of China (the areas around present Zhejiang and Jiangsu Provinces) took to sightseeing and began to seek ease and comfort. In consequence, writers at that time paid great attention to the expression of their own dispositions in writing. Their style of writing tended to be straightforward, sprightly and elegant. Such a writing style, though it contributed to the prosperity of literary works in terms of quantity, distracted the writers' mind and refrained them from producing works with obvious local characteristics. In this case, it prevented the further development of literature, especially poetry and prose, in the Mid Ming Dynasty.
