马克思主义在各个历史阶段都有它解决的主要问题,因而理论的着重点不同。“三个代表”重要思想的理论着重点是执政党。它创造性地回答了建设什么样的党、怎样建设党的问题,进一步回答什么是社会主义、怎样建设社会主义的问题。解决了执政党如何建设、如何坚持先进性、如何执政兴国的问题,形成一整套治党治国治军,建设中国特色社会主义的理论,对社会主义执政党理论的建构作出了贡献,是对马克思主义的重大发展。

Marxism has problems to solve in different historical periods and therefore has different theoretical emphases.The important idea of'three representatives'takes the party in power as its theoretical emphasis.It creatively answers the questions of what party to construct and how to construct the party and further answers the questions of what is socialism and how to construct socialism.It solves the problem of how a party in power constructs itself,keeps its nature of being an advanced party and builds the country into a strong one.It has formed a set of theory concerning the ruling of the party,the country and the army and the construction of socialism with Chinese features.It has made a contribution to the construction of the theory of socialist party in power and is an important development to Marxism.
